Location
Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge is located within the Tsavo West National Park (a short drive from the main Mtito Andei Gate), which lies 280 kilometers from Nairobi.
General Description
uperbly situated in the lee of Mount Kilimanjaro and sheltered by the volcanic splendor of the Chyulu Hills, this classic stone-built lodge overlooks its own water hole, which is visited daily by elephants, buffalos and a wide variety of plains game. One of the first lodges ever to be built in a national park, the lodge is cool, tranquil and hushed for optimum game-viewing. It is also ideally placed for visits to all the park's prime attractions.
Accommodation
Our luxury ensuite rooms are accommodated either in a double storey block overlooking the waterhole, in a series of cottages to the right and left of reception, or in a building dedicated entirely to our selection of luxury suites. Surrounded by shaded gardens, all the rooms enjoy views, either of the waterhole or the Chyulu Hills. Each tastefully-appointed room features natural volcanic stone walls, king-sized bed or luxurious twins, lavish all-encompassing mosquito-curtaining, bathroom (with walk-in shower), writing/vanity unit, and private veranda.
Dining
The central dining room, which is partially open-air, overlooks the water-hole and features a stone-built viewing terrace. The open-air, rock-built bar also overlooks the water-hole and features relaxing day beds with glorious views of the Chyulu Hills.
