Our idea of building an Ecological Hotel in one of the oasis in Egypt became true and we are proud to introduce our DESERT LODGE in Dakhla. DESERT LODGE is the result of collective thinking of international tourism experts - people who like outdoor life, nature and the beauty of the desert. For this reason the WADI Co. was founded which runs under Egyptian-Swiss management, a holding company, introducing a new concept of desert lodges in the Egyptian desert. Our Lodge is built in the traditional style of the local architecture and situated on top of a nearby cliff. You will be startled by the quietness and the splendid view, overlooking the unique village of Al Qasr and the distant sand dunes of the Sahara desert. Our Lodge hosts 32 large rooms, each one measuring more than 35 m2 and all furnished with modern private bathrooms. The rooms are simply but tastefully furnished in the local style. They all have telephones. In order to keep the air well circulated during the hot season, the rooms have high ceilings and are equipped with a fan. In cold winter nights, heaters can be installed upon request or warm water bottles handed out. A large number of rooms have either balconies or terraces with spectacular views over the village, the desert or towards the nearby mountain range.
