Chobe Game Lodge

Chobe Game Lodge is the only permanent accommodation in Botswana’s magnificent Chobe National Park. The property’s elegant architecture is informed by Moorish design, its high arches and barrel-vault ceilings create a sense of simple grandeur. All 47, air-conditioned rooms overlook the Chobe River, which supports the world’s densest population of Kalahari elephants along with large herds of buffalo and zebra. Spend your days seeking out the Big 5, exploring the land by vehicle and the river by boat - either option promises you exciting wildlife encounters. You may even spot the rare aquatic Red Lechwe or the indigenous Chobe Bushbuck. The abundant game supports an equally healthy population of predators, including large resident populations of lions, leopards, wild dogs, and cheetah.

Facilities

Game viewing is most rewarding in the early morning and late afternoon. In between exploring the land and river, the poolside terrace, with its beautiful views, offers the perfect place to relax and unwind. Enjoy a refreshing cocktail and a game of billiards at the Tshwane Bar, or cool off in the sparkling swimming pool. Retreat from the heat for a quiet read in the well-stocked reference library, or pamper yourself with beauty treatments at the in-house spa. You can even burn off the indulgent dinners with a workout in the air-conditioned gym! After dinner, the stargazing deck offers perfect views of the African night sky with its dazzling Southern Hemisphere constellations.

Standard Room

All 47, air-conditioned rooms are river-facing with a private terrace or balcony from which to enjoy the view. The rooms are furnished with hand-crafted Rhodesian teak, original African carvings and paintings, with hand-painted fabric canopies, hung above the beds. A complimentary mini-bar completes the hotel-style amenities.
