Day 1: Tamanrasset, Algeria
Arrive at Tamanrasset: Meet assist and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Tamanrasset
After breakfast go on a tour of Tamanrasset, an oasis city and chief city of the Algerian Tuareg. Highlights include the Hermitage of de Foucault, traditional red mud-brick houses, and the souk (commercial quarter). Afterward, drive north along rocky tracks towards the heights of Atakor (massive volcanic field) and across mountains of Iharen and Akar‐Akar to the gueltas of Afilal (pink lauriers) – and past the jagged peaks of Taguerguiste and Tizouyag.
Continue to Assekrem, and climb to the mountain’s summit to witness one of Sahara’s most beautiful sunsets. Overnight at Assekrem.Meal(s) Included: Breakfast & Dinner
Day 3:
After breakfast, climb to the top of the plateau and admire the rising sun. Afterward, delve into the rocky massif of Atakor and on to Tehe‐n’Taretime and gueltas of Issakarassene and Eguef‐Melene. Continue to the remote Tuareg village of Hirafok then further into the desert to camp in a remote spot between Hirafok and Ideles.

Day 4: Ideles – Amadror – Tihodaine
After breakfast, walk to the farming village of Ideles and visit the village blacksmith. Ideles is located at the foot of Taderaz. Pass Oued Telouhet- full of verdant vegetation including acacia trees and others. Afterward, cross the Plain of Amadror which at one time was the center of the ancient salt trade with Niger, and through to the dunes of Tihodaine. Camp overnight amidst sand dunes.

Day 5: Tassili – Adrar
After breakfast depart to Tassili or “Plateau of the Rivers” and head north into the mountains of Adrar and across the plateau of Fadnoun to visit the world-famous rock paintings. Over 15,000 prehistoric and first-century carvings and engravings have been discovered here including the famous gazelle engraving. Continue to the gueltas of Dider. Camp overnight in the desert.

Day 6: Col of Tiradjeli – Fort Gardel
After breakfast, head towards the col of Tiradjeli and descend towards the plane of erg Admer, through the village, and to Oued of Zaouatalaz (Fort Gardel). Afterward, continue towards the dunes of Erg Adme for overnight in the desert oasis Oued Essendilene.

Day 7: Essendilene – Tikoubaouine
After breakfast, cross the ochre dunes by foot to Essendilene a lush rainwater delta where you can explore the towering cliffs and enjoy lunch beside crystal waters. Afterward, drive to Tikoubaouine and see the Balanced Rock of Tikoubaouine and the Tikoubaouine Arch. Camp overnight in the desert.

Day 8: Tikoubaouine – Timeras – Oued Assasou – Djanet – Tararart
After breakfast, hike towards Tikoubaouine along the huge dunes of Admer and past Timeras and Oued Assassou, and then continue on to the oasis of Djanet. Djanet, which is called the “pearl of Tassili”, is one of the nicest mountain oases all around the Sahara. Visit the local museum where interesting archaeological remains dating back to different prehistoric periods and traditional Touareg daily-life objects can be found and head back out into Sahara towards Tararart (cave paintings) for last night in the desert.

Day 9 : Djanet – Algiers – Depart
Transfer to Djanet airport for the return flight to Algiers.
