  1. Day 1: ARRIVE DJIBOUTI

    Arrive Djibouti; meet assist and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon visit the “Marche Central” (market).

  2. Day 2: LAC ASSAL – VOLCANO

    Today we head out to visit Lac Assal, an aquatic wilderness of locked seawater and high density of salt that was once part of a major geographic upheaval. The volcanic activities have transformed Djibouti and its region into desolate spectacles and unusual landscapes with temperature can reach up to 60 degrees Celsius. The closer you get to the lake the hotter it gets. There are several thermal sources that reach 80 degrees Celsius! The brightness is so intense that you’d think that you are at a ski resort on a sunny day, of course minus the cold. Strong sunglasses is a must have item. Next stop will be Goubet Beach for picnic lunch break before we continue to view the volcano before returning back to the hotel.

  3. Day 3: THE NORTH CIRCUIT

    After breakfast visit the stunning oasis of Bankoualeh with its various waterfalls and gardens. Bankoualeh is located in a valley at the bottom of the Foret du Day; millennia old forest -now a protected National Park. The area is known for its promenade orchards, the elusive Black Panther, and the Francolin of Djibouti a bird native to this region. In the afternoon continue onto Ardo Village to visit the local artisans before returning to the hotel.

  4. Day 4: THE SOUTH CIRCUIT

    This morning visit the Southern part of Djibouti, comprised of Arta Village, Grand & Petit Bara, Dikhil and Ali Sabieh- the desert area of the country. The village of Arta is the only place in south where the climate is cool and favorable for agriculture. It was founded in 1925 by a General of the French Army and is still home to a few French Military camps. Continue on to the deserts of Grand & Petit Bara. In the afternoon continue to Ali Sabieh for sightseeing before returning to the hotel.

  5. Day 5: TADJOURAH – SABLE BLANC BEACH

    After breakfast, visit the town of Tadjourah; where the history of the Republic of Djibouti started. When the French arrived in Djibouti around 1864, they first came to Tadjourah to negotiate for a piece of land in exchange of a treaty of protectorate.
    In the afternoon continue to Sable Blanc Beach for swimming and one of the best spots for snorkeling. This area has magnificent corals full of colorful fishes and it is also a great spot for fishing.

  6. Day 6: DEPART DJIBOUTI

    After breakfast transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
